Osu leverages Open Banking APIs to connect businesses and their customers for secure and instant account-to-account payments.
It means customers can authenticate and confirm payments directly with their own bank, without exposing any sensitive information to any third party – Osu included. What’s more, by automatically connecting the payment information to the bank itself, there’s no risk of typing in incorrect account numbers or amounts – just 100% accuracy.
For businesses it means zero transaction fees, truly instant settlement, and the near total elimination of fraud and chargebacks.
Osu covers more than 97% of UK personal accounts. In other words, 97% of UK consumers can pay an Osu payment request.
To create and send a payment request just 3 pieces of information are needed:
• The customer's contact details
• The amount the customer being requested to pay
• The request delivery method - email, text, or social share
Additionally, you can enter description of what the request is for, or add specific items to generate an itemised breakdown of the total request
With Osu’s core payment technology, your clients can pay directly from their bank account to yours. This payment method has no transaction fees and the money will be transferred immediately into your bank account.
In addition, there are optional integrations with Stripe and PayPal. If you set these up, then your clients will also have the option to pay using a debit or credit card, or using their PayPal account. Note: payments via these methods are subject to Stripe's and PayPal’s transaction fees.
Keep in mind you can use Osu to get paid without these integrations. Using Osu’s core payment technology which is built into the app, clients can pay directly from their bank account to yours, instantly, with no transaction fees at all.
If you’re a sole trader, self-employed individual, or micro business, Osu allows you to sign up and get approved in under 2 minutes. From there you can manage clients, schedule appointments, issue invoices, and take payments all in one powerful app.
